The Youth of Eden Soccer Club...is a recreational, co-ed soccer league dedicated to the concepts of skill development, good sportsmanship and FUN! The league is coached and coordinated by an all-volunteer staff and is open to all kids aged 5 to 13 in the Town of Eden as well as neighboring communities. League registration normally averages about 250 players and is divided into the following divisions: U6, U8, U10, U13.
Tim Horton's of Eden is providing jerseys for the U6 division this year. We are passing the savings on to the U6 parents!
Learn - Practice - Play - Fun…Youth of Eden Soccer believes that it is important for developing soccer players to keep the focus on learning and fun. Each soccer season our goal is to accomplish a few scaffolding goals:
• Have fun!
• Instill good practice and game ethics. Reinforce good character and sportsmanship.
• Teach your child new soccer skills, strategies, and rules of the game.
• Reinforce the skills, strategies and rules of the game your child has already mastered.
Soccer Season… Our soccer season generally starts with practices the first week of August. The focus for our younger players (U6 and U8) is on having fun within the game of soccer. Our youngest players will practice skills, participate in soccer drills and play soccer related games - keeping the focus on fun and learning - not the score of a game. Our older players (U10 and U13) continue to develop skills and practice drills, then put those skills into action with scrimmages and games starting in mid to late August. Team Pictures generally take place in Mid August. The season wraps up in late September to early October. The U6 & U10 leagues plays their games on Monday and Wednesday evenings at Swartz and Gorcica Fields. The U8 and U13 leagues play their games on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at Swartz and Gorcica Fields.
